Welcome To Jakarta

Jakarta, the capital of the Republic of Indonesia, is the center of government, economy, and culture that is the heart of national life. This city stands as a symbol of the nation's progress, a place where Indonesia's long history of struggle blends with the spirit of modernity today. As the largest metropolitan city in Southeast Asia, Jakarta is a melting pot of diverse cultures, ethnicities, and traditions from all corners of the archipelago, reflecting the motto of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity) in everyday life.

Jakarta is known for its fast-paced development and rhythm of life, full of energy and always moving forward. Behind the glitz of skyscrapers and international business centers, the city holds a rich cultural heritage, from the distinctive Betawi arts, colonial buildings in the Old Town area, to bustling and colorful traditional markets. Every corner of Jakarta tells a story of its long journey of transformation from a simple port city to a modern metropolis that serves as the main economic and diplomatic hub in Southeast Asia.

As a city that never sleeps, Jakarta also offers a diverse urban lifestyle: tempting local cuisine from street vendors to five-star restaurants, modern shopping centers that are a shopper's paradise, and public spaces and city parks that continue to develop to support the healthy and active lifestyles of its residents.
